Remember last month when I posted that Mikey Mukasey must not have wanted the Attorney General position very much because his refusal to classify waterboarding as torture and his assertion that the President should be able to supersede law written by Congress constituted one of the worst jobs interviews ever? Wasn’t that funny? Well, apparently a refusal to condemn torture methods used in the Spanish Inquisition and hold the President accountable to the law weren’t high on Congress’ qualifications list, because he was sworn in as the nation’s 81st Attorney General last Friday. Glad to see we’re making progress.
