Here We Go Again

I almost didn’t want to post this link because we all knew it was coming. But it will just further cement our understanding that no matter the way or mean, Bush will never allow a health care reform bill to pass. Duh. The latest:

In the 7th veto of his presidency, Bush overturned the updated children’s health care bill, saying it was too similar to the last one he vetoed.

“Because the Congress has chosen to send me an essentially identical bill that has the same problems as the flawed bill I previously vetoed, I must veto this legislation, too.”

Even the one year extension of the children’s health care program Schip will likely not be funded because, Bush said, it would become too much like “socialized medicine.”

  1. To be fair, it WAS virtually the same bill. I’m glad to see Congress is wasting their time and our money passing bills they know will get vetoed simply for political purposes.
