Count Me Among Them…

Hillary Clinton is leading in a new survey by Fox 5-The Washington Times-Rasmussen Reports in the anti-vote, the percentage of voters who would vote simple to keep her out of office. While the validity of the poll could not be verified, it is still no surprise at all to anyone who has been following the 2008 presidential race. Even 17 percent of Democrats said Hillary was the last candidate they wanted to win the presidency as well as a predictable 64 percent of Republicans and 42 percent of independents/third party voters. I’m pretty sure the last thing America needs right now is someone who is going to divide the nation. We have seen the extreme of that for the past 8 years and look how well that turned out. One of my main reasons for supporting Barack Obama is that he has never been a divider like Hillary, I mean look at his now infamous keynote speech from the 2004 Democratic National Convention:

The pundits like to slice-and-dice our country into Red States and Blue States; Red States for Republicans, Blue States for Democrats. But I’ve got news for them too. We worship an awesome God in the Blue States, and we don’t like federal agents poking around in our libraries in the Red States. We coach Little League in the Blue States and yes, we got some gay friends in the Red States. There are patriots who opposed the war in Iraq and patriots who supported the war in Iraq. We are one people, all of us pledging allegiance to the stars and stripes, all of us defending the United States of America.

Sounds like exactly what we need to finally start getting something done after 16 years of stalemates from the Bush and Clinton Administrations.
