Oops? BET Founder Johnson Apologizes

The founder of BET, Bob Johnson, apologized Thursday for comments he made that appeared to hint at Senator Obama’s past drug use. Johnson is a staunch supporter of Hillary Clinton and at first stated that his comments were regarding Obama’s work as a community organizer. However he now claims his comments were, “made in haste in an attempt to be funny.” The Clinton campaign has also been in trouble recently for comments made regarding Martin Luther King Jr.’s civil rights work. Add these two instances to Obama’s apparent slam-dunk of the African-American vote in Michigan and South Carolina looks like it could very well swing in Senator Obama’s direction.
