Steve Sarvi Endorsed by Veterans Group

Steve Sarvi, the DFLer who is challenging John Kline in Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District was recently endorsed by VoteVets, a PAC that strives to “Elect Veterans of the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to public office; hold public officials accountable for their words and actions that impact America’s 21st century servicemembers; and fully support our men and women in uniform.”

Sarvi, seen above about to kick some ass, served for 16 months in Iraq in addition to a tour in Kosovo. He is advocating a orderly and responsible withdrawal from Iraq while tying any war funding to a withdrawal date. This is in clear contrast with John Kline who advocates a “stay the course” policy.

For Sarvi to gain the full endorsement ($5,000 contribution) he must win an online run off poll against six other veterans. Vote for him here and visit his website here.

In full disclosure, I am an intern for the Sarvi campaign.
