Obama Leading in New Pennsylvania Poll

Sen. Barack Obama is leading Sen. Hillary Clinton in a new Public Policy Polling poll, 45% to 43%. Hillary was leading Obama in the same poll by 26 points nearly two and a half weeks ago. While this race has shown that polls certainly do not always hold much weight, I think a 28 point swing is quite indicative that Pennsylvania voters are becoming aware of the damage that the tight Democratic race is causing and the faint possibility of Sen. Clinton gaining the nomination. Obama is leading among black voters 75-17 and has a 15 point lead amongst men. Clinton on the other hand leads among white voters 49-48, senior citizens 50-34 and has a 10 point lead with women. The poll of 1224 likely Democratic voters was taken between March 31st and April 1st and has a margin of error of 2.8%. We will keep a close eye on this as more polls are updated.
